2017

IRS and PI Integral Solutions joined forces to commercialise SUPREME Tech.

The minds of a few bold entrepreneurs, led by Manuel La Rosa take the hand of academia to push the engineering model outside of the lab, and get it in front of satellites and spacecraft manufacturers.

2019

Neutron Star Systems. Is incorporated in Cologne, Germany.

NSS’s electric propulsion systems are propellant-agnostic, manoeuvrable and scalable, allowing for multi-orbit, multi-mode, multi-domain spacecraft architectures.

2020

2020: NSS files its first patent, NSS receives €282,140 as part of the MEESST project.

The EU awards EUR 3.5 million to the MEESST project to develop a superconducting spacecraft re-entry system. NSS founders are awarded a founder scholarship worth EUR 24,000.

2021

2021: NSS signs a EUR 250,000 contract with the European Space Agency, to develop and test a superconducting cable for spacecraft instruments.

NSS is accepted into the prestigious Catalyst Accelerator organised by the US Space Force and Air Force Research Laboratory. NSS secures EUR 200,000 convertible loan financing from the NRW Bank in Germany.

2022

2022: NSS gets the third place at the Hyperspace Challenge and wins EUR 250,000 STTR Phase I Orbital Prime contract from the US Space Force.

The growth of the company continues through multiple conferences, events, meetings, grants, and awards that eventually lead to signing promising contracts.

2023

2023: NSS secures EUR 5.4 million funding grants financing from the EU/Bavarian Federal State/ESA.

Turned towards the full development, and commercialisation of the SUPREME propulsion systems, NSS embarks on larger grants schemes from key partners.
